Useful Tips to avoid Internet Fraud

Make sure your Anti-Virus/Firewall is on, updated and renewed.

Regularly back up your files and store copies safely.

Do not be too quick to trust Information on the Internet.

Beware of Free offers.It could be Phishing Bait!

Be cautious with unsolicited emails with links and never confirm a Password.

Choose Passwords that are difficult to guess.Never have just one for everything. Change them periodically.

Never give Credit Card details unless you are sure you are using a secure Web.

Type web addresses carefully. A small mistake may lead you to a fraudulent site.

Use encrypted connections when sending sensitive data and log off when finished.

Review Bank and Credit Card statements frequently to spot unusual activity early.

Be alert when using Wi-Fi. Thieves can steal data.

Never ask your computer to remember a Password. Its an open door to Thieves.
